A typical route might save up to 50,000 tons of CO2 by replacing 1,000 existing Volvo FH diesel trucks with Volvo FH Electric trucks driven by electricity.

Holcim collaborates with Volvo to decarbonize European operations' logistics with electric fleets, moving closer to the goal of 30% zero-emission heavy-duty trucks by 2030. Holcim is a multinational building solutions manufacturer headquartered in Switzerland.
Now, the firm and its contractors have agreed to plan for the deployment of 1,000 electric Volvo trucks across Holcim's activities in Europe between now and 2030.
The first 130 heavy electric Volvo FH and Volvo FM trucks will be delivered to markets such as France, Germany, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom in the fourth quarter of 2023 and throughout 2024. The arrangement is the result of a larger collaboration between Holcim and Volvo Group.

Volvo Group President and CEO Martin Lundstedt said that he is very proud of the partnership developed with Holcim and the results achieved together.
The net-zero transition necessitates extensive collaboration across value chains as per Jenisch, Chairman and CEO of Holcim.
Both corporations support the Science-based objectives program, which promotes aggressive climate action in the private sector, and both are founding members of the First Movers Coalition.
