URBANIA was shown at the 2020 Auto Expo, but the launch was postponed due to the Covid pandemic and its cascading effect. It is finally in production, as the company launched its latest Force Urbania van in India at a starting price of Rs. 28.99 lakh, with multiple variants available. URBANIA, codenamed T1N, was developed with a Rs 1,000 crore investment and the first batch of Vans will be available in dealerships within the next two weeks.
Furthermore, according to the company, the new Force Urbania is not only built on a fully ground-up, modular monocoque panel van platform, but it also offers crash and rollover compliance with airbags for the driver and co-driver.
Specifications of URBANIA
The Force Urbania is powered by a 113 bhp, BS6, CRDe Mercedes-Benz engine producing 350 Nm of peak torque and mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The installed capacity in phase one is 1,000 vehicles per month, which can be increased to 2,000 units per month.
The Urbania is available in a variety of seating configurations. There are 11-seater, 14-seater, and 18-seater variants available.
