70,000 vehicles order secured in Indonesia.
35,000 Tata Yodha and 35,000 Ultra T.7 units.
Vehicles for agriculture and rural logistics.
Deployment through an Indonesian state-owned enterprise.
Supports national food security and rural growth.
In a major development for the commercial vehicle industry, Tata Motors Indonesia has secured its biggest-ever order for 70,000 vehicles for deployment across Indonesia. The order includes 35,000 Tata Yodha pick-ups and 35,000 Tata Ultra T.7 trucks, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy.
The vehicles will be used to strengthen agricultural activities and rural logistics, including farm-to-market transportation and regional goods movement across the country.
PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited, has entered into an agreement for the supply of these 70,000 vehicles. Tata Motors will provide the vehicles to its Indonesian subsidiary, which will then deliver them to PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, an Indonesian state-owned enterprise.
PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara plays a key role in modernising agricultural supply chains, empowering rural cooperatives, and supporting national food security initiatives.
This large fleet deployment is aligned with the Koperasi Desa and Kelurahan Merah Putih Project, one of Indonesia’s major strategic nation-building initiatives. The project aims to improve rural connectivity, strengthen livelihoods, and build economic resilience across villages and regional networks.
The 70,000 vehicles will directly support:
Farm-to-market transportation
Movement of goods in rural and regional areas
Agricultural supply chain efficiency
Lower logistics costs across Indonesia
The vehicles will be rolled out through agricultural cooperatives under a structured and phased delivery programme. This approach will ensure smooth integration and long-term operational impact.
Engineered to operate in diverse and demanding conditions, Tata Motors commercial vehicles are expected to enhance productivity, improve uptime, and ensure efficient goods movement throughout Indonesia.

The Tata Yodha is a tough and reliable pick-up designed for challenging terrains and heavy-duty operations.
It serves as a strong last-mile mobility solution, especially in rural areas where load capacity, durability, and reliability are critical. The vehicle helps connect farms, villages, and rural enterprises directly to markets, boosting grassroots productivity.
The Tata Ultra T.7 is a high-efficiency truck built for modern logistics needs.
It combines:
Strong durability
Superior uptime
Driver comfort
Efficient cargo movement
The truck supports reliable transportation across both urban and rural networks, making it suitable for Indonesia’s diverse operating conditions.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Asif Shamim, Director, PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia, said that this order reflects the growing acceptance of Indian commercial vehicles in international markets.
He highlighted that the Tata Yodha and Ultra T.7 are designed for sustained performance, high uptime, and cost-efficient operations. Their deployment will improve rural connectivity and enable smoother goods movement across Indonesia’s agricultural and regional networks.
He also reaffirmed Tata Motors commitment to expanding the global footprint of Indian mobility solutions by delivering reliable vehicles that create long-term value for customers.
Tata Motors offers one of the most comprehensive commercial vehicle portfolios in the industry. The company operates in over 40 countries and provides:
Sub-1-tonne to 60-tonne cargo vehicles
9-seater to 71-seater mass mobility solutions
With strong research and development capabilities, advanced manufacturing expertise, and strict validation standards, Tata Motors continues to strengthen India’s position as a trusted global hub for purpose-built mobility solutions.
This record-breaking 70,000-vehicle order in Indonesia not only strengthens Tata Motors global footprint but also plays a key role in transforming rural logistics and agricultural supply chains in Southeast Asia.
