Tata Motors has published the brand's sales figures for December 2023. In a commercial vehicle sales report for December 2023, Tata Motors, a prominent player in the Indian commercial vehicle industry, showcased a mixed performance across its various divisions.

According to the latest sales figures released by the company, Tata Motors witnessed an increase of 1% in truck sales compared to the same period last year. In December 2023, the brand sold a total of 34,180 commercial vehicle units, up from 33,949 in December 2022. As a result, total sales have increased by 1% in December 2023.

Tata Motors Domestic Sales

HCV and ILMCV Trucks

Tata Motors' truck sales have increased in the Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment by 10%. The company sold 11,199 units in December 2023, compared to 10,178 units in the same month of the previous year.

ILMCV segment sales also grew by 8%. In December 2023, the brand sold 5,675 commercial vehicles, up from 5,255 units in December 2022.

Passenger Carriers and SCV cargo and Pickup Category

Tata Motors' passenger carrier segment sales also grew by 14% and has the highest growth rate among all categories. The segment sold 3,060 CV units in December 2023 and 2,694 units in December 2022.

In the SCV Cargo and Pickup segment, Tata Motors faced a -14% downturn, selling 12,734 units in December 2023 compared to 14,827 units in the same period in 2022.

Tata Motors Export Sale

Tata Motors experienced significant growth in export sales. The company sold 1,512 units of commercial vehicles in December 2023, marking a remarkable 52% increase from the 995 units sold in December 2022.
