Key Highlights:
Switch Mobility, a subsidiary of Ashok Leyland, has made a strategic move by appointing Pushkar Sinha as the new Sales Head for electric-light commercial vehicles (e-LCVs). Sinha, who previously served as the Vice President of Business Development and OEM Relations at Sun Mobility, brings valuable expertise to his new role.
Mahesh Babu, the global CEO of Switch Mobility, confirmed Sinha's appointment, highlighting that he will report directly to Sachin Nijhawan, the chief commercial officer at the company.
This appointment is significant for Switch Mobility as it aims to ramp up production to approximately 3,000 units per year of its IeV series electric light commercial vehicles. The IeV series covers a wide range of applications including cargo transport, containers, garbage vans, and refrigerated vans.
Switch Mobility has also secured Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for 12,000 to 13,000 e-LCVs, indicating a growing demand for their products. The company is actively conducting customer trials for its e-trucks, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.
