SANY India showcased its domestically produced construction equipment at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The showcased machinery included engines, hydraulic systems, and track components made at its Chakan facility in Pune.

Highlighting Local Manufacturing

Sanjay Saxena, COO of Sales, Marketing & Customer Support at SANY Heavy Industry India, emphasized the company's efforts to reduce import dependence through domestic production. SANY India has been actively participating in initiatives to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities.

Launch of Electric Construction Equipment

The company introduced electric variants of its construction equipment at the exhibition, featuring mining dump trucks, forklifts, and terminal tractors. These additions align with the industry's move to reduce emissions in heavy machinery.

Chakan Plant: A Manufacturing Hub

SANY India, which entered the market in 2009, established its primary manufacturing hub in Chakan, Pune, in 2014. The plant produces construction equipment such as excavators, cranes, and concrete machinery, supporting the company's expansion in India.

Expo Focus: Self-Reliance in Manufacturing

The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, in its second edition, highlighted India’s capabilities in mobility and manufacturing. The theme, "Viksit Bharat ke Vikasrath" (Vehicles of Developed India's Progress), highlights the government's efforts to promote self-sufficiency in manufacturing.

Steady Growth in Construction Equipment Sector

India’s construction equipment sector continues to grow, driven by infrastructure development projects and increased government spending. Industry analysts anticipate sustained growth fueled by urbanization and infrastructure initiatives.
