Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured full government support for India's auto sector, aiming to make the country a global manufacturing hub. Speaking at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, he emphasized the development of a strong ecosystem, including FDI, technology transfer, and global partnerships.

He also highlighted the need for India to focus on battery manufacturing and green technologies. Modi further mentioned that the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme had created over 1.5 lakh jobs and praised India’s status as a young, growing economy, ideal for the auto industry.

With factors such as an expanding middle class, rapid urbanization, and rising demand for affordable vehicles, India is seen as a major opportunity for growth in the mobility sector. Concluding his speech, Modi said, “The future belongs to the East, to Asia, to India. The growth in India is opening doors of opportunity for the auto industry, and the journey to a developed India will involve expanding the auto sector.”

Focus on Future Automotive Value Chain

This year’s Bharat Mobility Global Expo theme is “Beyond Boundaries: Co-creating Future Automotive Value Chain”. This theme emphasizes sustainable and advanced technologies.
