Omega Seiki Mobility and Honda Power Pack Energy India have joined hands to revolutionize the electric three-wheeler market, making sustainable transportation more accessible and practical for the masses.

Omega Seiki Mobility, a prominent manufacturer of electric three-wheelers, has entered into a strategic relationship with Honda Power Pack Energy India to utilize its swappable battery technology in its electric three-wheelers.
The incorporation of Honda's swappable battery technology is expected to address one of the most significant challenges in the EV industry: battery charging and range. This collaboration will enhance the electric three-wheeler experience for Omega Seiki Mobility customers and also contribute to the growth of the EV ecosystem in India.
As part of the agreement, Honda Power Pack Energy India, a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co, would supply swappable batteries to Omega Seiki Mobility. Furthermore, Honda will work towards establishing a comprehensive network of quick interchange stations in Tier 1 cities across India, providing electric three-wheeler users with convenient and efficient battery-swapping options.

In the next two years, we intend to implement Honda e: Swap Technology in over 10,000 vehicles in the Passenger and Cargo segments," stated Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility.

Honda Power Pack Energy India claims that the Honda e:swap service allows auto rickshaw drivers to conveniently swap discharged batteries (Honda Mobile Power Pack e:) for fully charged ones at battery stations, which are frequently located at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) petrol stations and metro stations. The Japanese company plans to build a large battery swap network, starting in Bengaluru and moving to other Tier 1 cities.
Omega Seiki Mobility said its upcoming electric three-wheeler (Cargo and Passenger) will be outfitted with HEID’s intelligent swappable lithium-ion batteries.
