Olectra Greentech Aims to Secure Prime Minister's E-Bus Program Tender for 10,000 Buses

"10,000 units are required by the government of India's recently announced PM e-Bus program. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development is currently in discussions with various stakeholders, and the government is likely to issue this tender by next month," he said.

Pradeep previously stated that the company has orders for 9,000 electric buses. Olectra Greentech plans to deploy at least 1,200 of these buses during the following 24 to 30 months.

The Telangana government has given the corporation a spacious 150-acre plot of land in Hyderabad for the building of a world-class manufacturing facility. Pradeep highlighted that this facility will be critical to their ambitious growth objectives.

He also said that the corporation is working hard to build a cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Hyderabad. This 150-acre plant is planned to have a production capacity of 5,000 buses or trucks per year.
