NueGo, GreenCell Mobility's electric bus brand, has launched its first-ever electric bus services on the Chennai-Pondicherry, Chennai-Bangalore, and Chennai-Tirupati routes. NueGo electric coaches can go up to 250 kilometers on a single charge.

NueGo buses will depart from Koyambedu in Chennai, the PRTC Bus Stand in Pondicherry, the RTC Bus Stand in Tirupati, and the Majestic in Bangalore. NueGo services would be available at a special introductory price of Rs 319/per seat in Chennai-Tirupati and Chennai-Pondicherry.

According to Devendra Chawla, CEO of GreenCell Mobility, these services signal the southern expansion of NueGo's services with the beginning of operations in Chennai-Pondicherry, Chennai-Tirupati, and Chennai-Bengaluru.

According to the press release, the brand is effectively operating its services across India, mainly on the Bhopal-Indore, Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi-Agra, Delhi-Dehradun, Agra-Jaipur, and Delhi-Jaipur routes, as well as markets in the South.

To begin, the company has 12 schedules between Chennai and Tirupati, followed by 12 schedules between Chennai and Pondicherry, and over 30 schedules between Chennai and Bengaluru.

GreenCell is developing a platform to provide Electric Mobility-as-a-Service (eMaaS), initially through the use of electric buses, with the fundamental value proposition of cheaper, non-polluting on-demand shared transportation.
