The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a significant government scheme designed to provide financial assistance to people for building or buying a house. It targets the economically weaker sections in both rural and urban areas. However, recently, some beneficiaries in Negadiya Panchayat of Asind Tehsil, Bhilwara, Rajasthan, have reported that their names were unjustly removed from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin list.

According to the villagers, 51 families, who were initially deemed eligible, have now been removed from the list. These families, who claim to meet all the eligibility criteria, have been protesting against the removal of their names. They believe the Panchayat Secretary and Sarpanch are involved in this action. Many are upset, as they believe they rightfully deserve the Rural Housing Scheme benefits.
