Montra Electric has announced the rollout of its 1,000th EVIATOR electric small commercial vehicle (eSCV) from its manufacturing facility in Chennai. The milestone marks a major step in the company’s efforts to expand electric cargo mobility solutions across India.
The EVIATOR is manufactured at Montra Electric’s Ponneri plant near Chennai and is gaining traction in sectors such as e-commerce, FMCG, and last-mile delivery services. The achievement reflects the increasing adoption of electric small commercial vehicles in the country’s logistics ecosystem.
The rollout comes at a time when businesses are steadily shifting towards electric mobility to reduce operating costs and improve sustainability. Montra Electric recently expanded its EVIATOR lineup with the launch of the EVIATOR 350 equipped with a 32 kWh battery and the EVIATOR 350L+ featuring a larger 50 kWh battery pack.
These new variants are expected to strengthen the company’s position in the rapidly growing eSCV market by catering to different cargo and fleet requirements.
The Montra Electric EVIATOR has been developed for high-utilisation urban cargo transportation and last-mile delivery applications. The vehicle offers a payload capacity of 1.7 tonnes along with a 10.3-foot loading deck, making it suitable for transporting large cargo volumes within city routes.
The electric commercial vehicle is powered by a liquid-cooled Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack. It delivers a real-world driving range of over 170 km on a single charge, supporting intensive daily operations for logistics operators.
The EVIATOR also supports CCS2 DC fast charging technology, enabling the battery to charge up to 80% in nearly 60 minutes. The vehicle has a top speed of 80 kmph, which makes it suitable for time-sensitive delivery operations.

Speaking on the achievement, Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director of Montra Electric (TICMPL), said the rollout of the 1,000th EVIATOR reflects the growing confidence in electric small commercial vehicles among logistics operators.
He added that the milestone is significant because it is backed by real-world deployment across different operational conditions. According to him, the company remains focused on building technology-driven solutions that deliver higher uptime and better returns for customers.
Saju Nair, CEO of Montra Electric’s e-SCV business, stated that the achievement validates the EVIATOR platform’s reliability and performance in demanding logistics operations. He said the expanded product range will help the company address varied customer requirements while improving efficiency and total cost of ownership for fleet operators.
The Montra Electric EVIATOR is available at an introductory ex-showroom starting price of ₹14.58 lakh. The company is positioning the vehicle as a scalable and technology-focused solution for businesses planning to transition towards electric fleets.
