On a vacation to India, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates was seen riding in an electric three-wheeler, and the footage has gone popular on the internet.

The billionaire posted the video to his Instagram account. He may be seen glancing at himself in the vehicle's mirror at the start of the video. He also explains some of the features of the autorickshaw saying, "What has three wheels, emits no pollution, and makes no noise? It's known as the Mahindra Treo. We're going to need to reimagine everything from agriculture to transportation to get on the road to a zero-carbon emissions world."

With a nice suit and tie, the billionaire drove across several roads. Based on his expression, it seems like Mr Gates is enjoying driving the electric three-wheeler. In the background, the video includes the song "Babu Samjho Ishare" from the film 'Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi.

The post was captioned by the millionaire, "India's inclination for creativity never ceases to astound. I drove an electric rickshaw that could travel up to 131 kilometres (about 81 miles) and carry up to four people. It's encouraging to see companies like Mahindra helping to decarbonize the transportation industry."

On Instagram, the viral reel has received over 1.9 million views and 131,000 likes. The video sparked a wide range of reactions.

In response, Anand Mahindra, Head of the Mahindra Group, invited Mr Gates to a "three-wheeler EV drag race" alongside cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar.

He turned to Twitter and reply by retweeting the Mr Gates' video. "Chalti ka Naam Bill Gates ki Gaadi, @BillGates, I'm delighted you took the time to look at the Treo. Your next trip should include a 3-wheeler EV drag race between you, @sachin rt, and me..."

This is hardly Gates' only viral post in recent months. Gates has released a movie explaining why India is vital in the fight against poverty, climate change, and other issues. The brief Gates Notes video began with an action scene from Shah Rukh Khan's Ra One, which delighted internet enthusiasts.
