
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), one of India's largest automotive firms, stated today that its auto sales for the month of March 2023 were 35,976 vehicles, a 31% increase over the previous month.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), one of India's largest automotive firms, stated today that its auto sales for the month of March 2023 were 35,976 vehicles, a 31% increase over the previous month.

The Commercial Vehicle segment sold 22,282 vehicles in March 2023 (a 12% increase) and 248,576 vehicles in the previous year (a 40% increase). In F23, the LCV (2-3.5T) category achieved its highest-ever annual sales of 198,121 units.
Mahindra Truck and Bus Division (LCV > 3.5T + MHCV) also performed well, with 1,469 units sold in March 2023 (a 77% increase) and a yearly sale of 10,036 units (a 56% increase). Exports for the month were 2,115 vehicles, with the company selling 5,697 three-wheelers in March 2023.
The LCV 2T category fell by 11%, selling 3,385 units in March 2023 versus 3,806 units in March 2022, while the LCV 2T-3.5T category increased by 15%, selling 17,428 units in March 2023 versus 15,202 in March 2022.
The LCV 3.5T + MHCV segment of this brand increased by 77%. The category sold 1,469 units in March 2023, representing an increase over the 829 units sold in March 2022.
The category with the greatest increase in March 2023 remained three-wheelers which also includes sales of electric three-wheelers. The segment recorded a 41% increase with 5,697 units sold in March 2023, compared to 4,043 units sold in the last year’s same month.
The brand faced a decline of 33% in its export sales in March 2023, by selling 2,115 commercial vehicles compared to 3,160 units in March last year.
