India’s electric bus market recorded strong growth in February 2026, with total registrations rising significantly compared to January. According to data from the Vahan Dashboard (as of March 2, 2026; Telangana data not included), electric bus sales reached 578 units in February 2026, up from 391 units in January 2026.

This reflects a growth of 187 buses, translating to a 48% month-on-month increase in overall electric bus registrations.

Among all manufacturers, Switch Mobility emerged as the clear market leader, followed by JBM Electric and PMI Electro Mobility.

Brand-wise Electric Bus Sales Performance - February 2026

Switch Mobility

Switch Mobility recorded the highest electric bus registrations in February 2026. The company sold 280 units, compared to 100 units in January, adding 180 buses month-on-month. This translated to a 180% growth, giving the company the largest 48.4% market share among all OEMs.

JBM Electric

JBM Electric secured the second position with 151 buses sold in February, up from 110 units in January. The increase of 41 buses resulted in a 37.3% growth, allowing the company to capture a 26.1% share of the electric bus market.

PMI Electro Mobility

PMI Electro Mobility ranked third with 83 units registered in February 2026, compared to 50 units in January. The company added 33 buses, reflecting a 66% growth, and achieved a 14.4% market share.

Aeroeagle Automobiles

Aeroeagle Automobiles reported 20 electric bus sales in February, slightly lower than 29 units in January. The decline of 9 buses resulted in a 31% drop, with the brand accounting for 3% market share during the month.

Olectra Greentech

Olectra Greentech registered 20 units in February 2026, down from 46 units in January. The decrease of 26 buses represented a 56.5% decline, leaving the company with a 3.5% share in the electric bus market.

Tata Motors

Tata Motors sold 18 electric buses in February, compared to 26 units in January. The drop of 8 buses resulted in a 30.8% decline, with the company holding a 3.1% market share.

VE Commercial Vehicles

VE Commercial Vehicles recorded 4 units in February 2026, slightly lower than 5 units in January. The decline of 1 bus led to a 20% drop, and the company held 0.7% market share.

Pinnacle Mobility

Pinnacle Mobility registered 2 buses in February, down from 25 units in January. This decline of 23 buses represented a 92% drop, leaving the company with a 0.3% share of the market.

February 2026 marked a strong recovery for India’s electric bus market, with total registrations increasing sharply compared to January. Switch Mobility dominated the segment with nearly half of the market, while JBM Electric and PMI Electro Mobility maintained strong positions. Although some OEMs saw declines, the overall growth highlights continued momentum in electric public transport adoption across India.
