IFFCO-MC Crop Science Private Limited, a joint venture between Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan, celebrated its 12th Foundation Day, marking 11 years of its contribution to Indian agriculture. The company used the occasion to reaffirm its focus on innovation, quality, sustainability and farmer welfare, while expanding access to modern crop protection solutions.

IFFCO-MC Marks 11 Years of Agricultural Contribution

The Foundation Day celebration was attended by senior leaders and dignitaries from IFFCO and Mitsubishi Corporation. The event was graced by Shri Dileep Sanghani, Chairman, IFFCO & IFFCO-MC; Shri Tokuda Takahiro, Vice Chairman, IFFCO-MC & Chairman, Mitsubishi Corporation, India; Shri K.J. Patel, Managing Director, IFFCO; and Shri Yogendra Kumar, Marketing Director, IFFCO & Managing Director, IFFCO-MC, along with other senior representatives.

The company also recognised employees who have completed 10 years and 5 years of service with IFFCO-MC. The recognition highlighted the contribution of employees and their collective efforts in building the organisation and strengthening its role in Indian agriculture.

Speaking at the event, Shri Dileep Sanghani said that IFFCO-MC’s 11-year journey has been driven by the purpose of serving Indian agriculture and creating meaningful value for farmers. He highlighted the company’s growth from its early stage to developing a strong product portfolio and extensive farmer network.

He added that going forward, IFFCO-MC will continue focusing on innovative, effective and sustainable agricultural solutions that address the changing requirements of farmers.

Strong Crop Protection Portfolio and Farmer Network

IFFCO-MC has built its business around providing farmers with quality crop protection products at reasonable prices. The company has also introduced the industry-first ‘Kisan Suraksha Bima Yojana’ with the purchase of IFFCO-MC products.

Its portfolio has expanded across Insecticides, Fungicides, Herbicides, Plant Growth Regulators and emerging Biologicals. These solutions are aimed at supporting better crop growth, improving farm productivity and encouraging more sustainable agricultural practices.

IFFCO-MC has also developed a wide farmer-connect network through Cooperative Societies, Channel Partners, IFFCO Bazars, Farmer Service Centres and other farmer touchpoints across India. This network helps the company stay connected with farmers, understand their changing needs and improve access to modern agricultural solutions.

Mitsubishi Corporation Highlights Technology and Collaboration

Shri Tokuda Takahiro said agriculture is changing rapidly and that future agricultural solutions will require collaboration, technology and a strong understanding of farmers’ needs.

He added that Mitsubishi Corporation’s partnership with IFFCO-MC reflects a shared commitment to Indian agriculture. By combining Mitsubishi Corporation’s global expertise with IFFCO’s strong farmer network, the partnership aims to develop solutions that are relevant, accessible and impactful for Indian farmers.
