Village-level digital services for farmers.
Aadhaar and land documents required.
The Haryana government has announced a major relief for farmers by making the Farmer Registry and PM-KISAN e-KYC process completely free at Common Service Centres (CSCs). The move aims to provide farmers with easier and more transparent access to government schemes and digital services at the village level.
Under the new system, farmers will no longer need to visit government offices repeatedly. Instead, they can complete all required formalities at nearby CSC centres in their villages.
Dr. Sumita Mishra, Finance Commissioner of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, said that farmer registration and PM-KISAN e-KYC under the Central Government’s AgriStack initiative will now be carried out through CSC centres across Haryana.
The government’s main objective is to build a strong digital database of farmers. This database will help ensure that government schemes, subsidies, and agricultural services reach eligible farmers directly and without delays.
According to the state government, the new system will make farmer registration much quicker and more convenient than before.
Farmers will now be able to complete:
Farmer registration
Digital verification
PM-KISAN e-KYC
at the CSC centre nearest to their village.
This step is expected to save time for farmers and improve transparency in government services.
One of the biggest benefits of this initiative is that farmers will not have to pay any fee for the service.
The Haryana government has clarified that it will bear the service charge of ₹15 per farmer for PM-KISAN e-KYC. CSC operators have also been directed not to collect any money from farmers.
This decision is likely to provide major relief to small and marginal farmers across the state.
The Haryana government said that similar farmer registry models have already shown successful results in many states across India.
More than 28 million farmers have already been registered in states such as:
Uttar Pradesh
Maharashtra
Madhya Pradesh
Gujarat
Rajasthan
Tamil Nadu
Assam
Odisha
Haryana is now adopting the same model to strengthen its digital agriculture system and farmer database.
The government believes that the farmer registry will help eligible farmers receive benefits from various schemes directly and quickly in the future.
The digital database will also help authorities:
Identify genuine beneficiaries
Reduce fraud and irregularities
Improve implementation of agricultural policies
Deliver subsidies and services efficiently
Officials say the digital records will play an important role in strengthening agricultural governance in Haryana.
Farmers visiting CSC centres for registration and e-KYC must carry the following documents:
Aadhaar Card
Mobile number linked with Aadhaar
Bank Passbook
Family Identity Card (if applicable)
Land documents or copy of Khasra-Khatauni
PM-KISAN registration number (for already registered farmers)
The government has advised farmers to keep all documents updated to avoid delays during the process. Farmers whose mobile numbers are not linked with Aadhaar have been asked to complete that process first.
Experts believe this initiative is an important step toward strengthening digital agriculture governance in Haryana. It is expected to improve access to government services at the village level and make scheme benefits more transparent and efficient.
In the future, the Farmer Registry system may also integrate several other agricultural schemes on a single digital platform, which could provide even greater benefits to farmers across the state.

The Haryana government’s decision to provide free Farmer Registry and PM-KISAN e-KYC services through CSC centres is expected to benefit thousands of farmers across the state. The initiative will simplify registration, improve transparency, and help farmers receive government scheme benefits faster. By creating a strong digital farmer database, Haryana is taking an important step toward modern and efficient agricultural governance while reducing the burden on small and marginal farmers.
