GreenCell Mobility and VE Commercial Vehicles Join Forces to Deliver 1,000 Eicher Electric Buses

GreenCell Mobility (GreenCell), a player in the electric mass mobility sponsored by Eversource Capital, and VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for electric buses.

In a significant move towards sustainable urban transportation, GreenCell Mobility, a leading player in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VE Commercial Vehicles, a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors. The MoU aims to supply 1,000 Eicher electric buses to bolster the adoption of green mobility solutions across various Indian cities.

The partnership between GreenCell Mobility and VE Commercial Vehicles is a testament to the growing emphasis on environmentally friendly transportation in India, as the country grapples with rising pollution levels and the need for cleaner alternatives.

Over the next five years, VECV will collaborate with GreenCell to deliver 1,000 Eicher electric buses for its inter-city business, NueGo, with both parties working together to achieve industry-leading vehicle engineering, data integration, and safety measures in these buses.
