ETO has also established a charging network at the Kalkaji metro station using ETO's EV charging technology - Thunderbox, which can charge up to 30 vehicles at the same time. DMRC issued 663 e-auto licenses in women’s quotas and worked with ETO Motors to allot 300 e-auto permits in a gradual way to establish e-auto service at various metro stations in Delhi.

ETO Motors is India's leading Electric Mobility as a Service Company with its unique 360-degree Electric Mobility business model. The firm has launched 45 electric L5 three-wheelers with women driver partners at Kalkaji metro station in New Delhi, in accordance with India's net zero pledge and to enable sustainable growth.
The project adheres to ETO's basic idea of EMPOWERMENT and strives to promote its 'drive and own' plan. This is ETO's second launch in Delhi. They successfully deployed 36 E3Ws at Azadpur Metro Station for LMC service in December 2022. ETO has also established a charging network at the Kalkaji metro station using ETO's EV charging technology - Thunderbox, which can charge up to 30 vehicles at the same time.
As promised, Delhi Metro has implemented numerous eco-friendly initiatives to build a strong last-mile connectivity infrastructure, allowing commuters to pick non-polluting public transportation modes over personal vehicles.
DMRC issued 663 e-auto licenses in women’s quotas and worked with ETO Motors to allot 300 e-auto permits in a gradual way to establish e-auto service at various metro stations in Delhi. The introduction of these e-autos will boost last-mile connections for passengers in nearby areas. ETO intends to increase its female fleet to 200 in the next three months.
ETO Motors thrives on its 3E principles of Environment, Employment, and Empowerment, where women power take the lead, giving a service centred on the deployment of sustainable clean transportation services. To attain this goal, ETO plans to identify and educate 200 women drivers in Delhi in collaboration with the Delhi Transport Department, the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, the School of Driving and Training Institute, Burari (DTI), and the Institute of Driving and Traffic Research (IDTR).
ETO Motors will deploy its Trilux L5 category passenger E3Ws, which are powered by a 7.37 kWh lithium-ion battery that charges to 100% in about 3.5 hours and has a top speed of 45 kmph. It has a range of about 100 kilometres on a single charge. It has a unique topple-free design and an integrated vehicle tracking system. It also boasts several 'industry first' safety features, including driver and passenger seat belts and a bucket seat for the driver partners.
With Delhi ranked 11th as the most congested city in 2021, electrification of public transportation is necessary for India to transition to electric mobility. As the Delhi Metro steadily returns to pre-pandemic levels of passengers, last-mile connection remains critical.
E3Ws have enormous expansion potential, and our launch in Kalkaji will usher in a new era for the company. We have a target of introducing 10,000 e-autos across India, and ETO MOTORS is in the process of establishing 5000 charge point stations across Delhi over the next 12 months under the Single Window Delhi EV policy.
