YC Electric, Saera Electric, Dilli Electric, Mahindra & Mahindra and many more have announced their sales figures for January 2024 and strong YoY growth can be seen by almost every automaker.

Electric three-wheelers (E3W) are an important segment of India's electric vehicle (EV) market, as they offer affordable, convenient, and eco-friendly mobility solutions for passengers and goods.

In this news, we will examine the sales performance of the E-rickshaw and E-cart segments in January 2024 based on the data from the Vahan Dashboard.

E-rickshaw refers to low-speed electric 3Wheelers (up to 25 kmph) used for passenger transportation. On the other hand, E-cart refers to low-speed electric three-wheelers (up to 25 kmph) used for goods transportation. Both e-rickshaws and e-carts are becoming popular choices for transportation in crowded cities and towns because they are quieter, produce fewer pollutants, and are often cheaper to operate than traditional vehicles.

The Electric 3-wheeler passenger segment witnessed a remarkable increase in sales. According to data from the Vahan portal, 40499 units of E-rickshaws were sold in January 2024 compared to 29909 units sold in January 2023.

YC Electric

In January 2024, YC Electric sold 3,112 units, showcasing a 43% year-over-year growth from 2,172 units in January 2023. The month-over-month decline was 12%, down from 3,553 units in December 2023.

Saera Electric

In January 2024, Saera Electric delivered 2,226 units, showcasing a 32% year-over-year growth from 1,685 units in January 2023. The month-over-month decline was 11%, down from 2,494 units in December 2023.

Dilli Electric

In January 2024, Dilli Electric sold 1,679 units, showcasing a 34% year-over-year growth from 1,251 units in January 2023. The month-over-month decline was 15%, down from 1,964 units in December 2023.

Hotage Corporation

In January 2024, Hotage Corporation delivered 1,120 units, showcasing a 62% year-over-year growth from 692 units in January 2023. The month-over-month decline was 12%, down from 1,270 units in December 2023.

Mahindra & Mahindra

In January 2024, Mahindra & Mahindra sold 1,115 units, marking a 43% drop from 1,965 units in January 2023. Compared to December 2023, sales decreased by 30%, down from 1,599 units.

E-cart Sales Trend

The Electric 3-wheeler cargo segment witnessed a remarkable increase in sales. As per the Vahan portal data, 3739 units of E-cart were sold in January 2024 compared to 1985 units sold in January 2023.

In January 2024, Dilli Electric delivered 270 units, showcasing a 58% year-over-year growth from 171 units in January 2023. The month-over-month decline was 8%, down from 292 units in December 2023.

YC Electric Vehicle

In January 2024, YC Electric Vehicle sold 241 units, showcasing a 136% year-over-year growth from 102 units in January 2023. The month-over-month decline was 7%, down from 258 units in December 2023.

SKS Trade India

In January 2024, SKS Trade India delivered 135 units, showcasing a 65% year-over-year growth from 82 units in January 2023. The month-over-month decline was 22%, down from 174 units in December 2023.

REEP Industries

In January 2024, REEP Industries delivered 132 units, showcasing a 2540% year-over-year growth from 5 units in January 2023. The month-over-month growth was 106%.

Saera Electric

In January 2024, Saera Electric delivered 125 units, showcasing a 102% year-over-year growth from 62 units in January 2023. The month-over-month decline was 6%, down from 133 units in December 2023.
