India’s electric passenger three-wheeler (E-3W L5) segment showed mixed trends in December 2025, with strong year-on-year growth for leading OEMs but a month-on-month slowdown for some players. Bajaj Auto, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, and TVS Motor emerged as the top three brands in terms of registrations.

The data is sourced from the Vahan Dashboard as of January 2, 2026, covering registrations from 1,401 out of 1,459 RTOs across 35 of 36 states/UTs. Telangana data is not included.

E-3W Passenger L5 Sales Overview – December 2025

The electric passenger three-wheeler market continued to expand on an annual basis in December 2025. However, month-on-month (MoM) trends remained mixed, indicating a temporary slowdown after strong registrations in November.

Bajaj Auto and Mahindra Last Mile Mobility continued to dominate the segment, while TVS Motor held the third position. Emerging players like Omega Seiki and Ti Clean Mobility showed positive momentum.

Brand-Wise Performance Analysis

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto led the electric passenger three-wheeler market in December 2025 with 6,926 registrations. The company recorded a strong 79% year-on-year growth, showing rising demand for its electric models. However, sales declined 15% MoM, reflecting a broader market correction.

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility

Mahindra registered 6,648 units during the month. The brand posted a healthy 55.3% YoY growth, but MoM sales dropped sharply by 28.1%, mainly due to high base sales in November.

TVS Motor

TVS Motor maintained steady performance with 2,831 units registered. The brand saw a small 0.5% MoM increase, indicating stable demand and consistent market presence.

Piaggio Vehicles

Piaggio Vehicles reported 1,239 registrations in December. The brand remained flat on an annual basis with 0.2% YoY growth, while posting a 6.7% MoM increase, showing mild recovery.

Ti Clean Mobility

Ti Clean Mobility registered 644 units, delivering a solid 43.4% YoY growth. The company also recorded 9.9% MoM growth, reflecting improving traction in the passenger E-3W segment.

Omega Seiki

Omega Seiki emerged as the fastest-growing brand on a YoY basis, posting a massive 325% growth. With 442 units sold and 16.6% MoM growth, the company continues to gain momentum in the electric passenger three-wheeler market.
