Continental Tires India introduced its new PremiumContact 6 (PC6) tyres. This launched took place at the Continental Track Day 2025 event. Alongside, the company showcased its latest Gen3 Truck Radial tyres, emphasizing its focus on mobility solutions for both passenger and commercial vehicles in India.

Features of PremiumContact 6 Tyres

The PremiumContact 6 tyres are designed with advanced technology to ensure safety, performance, and comfort.

  • Macroblock Technology: Enhances cornering control.
  • Silica Compound: Enhances grip on both wet and dry surfaces.
  • Asymmetric Tread Pattern: Optimizes grip during lateral force application.

Available in rim sizes from 17 to 20 inches, these tyres can now be purchased from Continental Tires outlets across India.

Revolutionary ContiSeal Technology

The ContiSeal Technology addresses the issue of punctures without the need for immediate roadside assistance.

  • How It Works: A viscous layer inside the tyre seals up to 85% of punctures caused by objects up to 5 mm in diameter.
  • Benefits: Allows uninterrupted journeys even if the puncturing object is dislodged.
  • Adaptability: Particularly suited for Indian road conditions, reducing reliance on spare tyres.

New Tyre Sizes for Commercial Vehicles

To fulfill the demands of Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (MHCV) segment in India, two new tyre sizes have been introduced:

  • 295/90 R20: Features five advanced tread patterns, ideal for hybrid and regional applications.
  • 235/75 R17.5: Designed for light commercial vehicle buses and trucks, ensuring durability and better mileage.

Statement from Continental Tires

Samir Gupta, Head of Central Region – BA Tires APAC and Managing Director of Continental Tires India, said that the launch of PremiumContact 6 and ContiSeal shows their focus on solving challenges specific to Indian roads. He added that these products are part of their strategy to be closely involved in the Indian market, with a focus on safety, comfort, and performance.

Gen3 Truck Radial Tyres

The Gen3 Truck Radial tyres were also unveiled at the event.

  • Designed for highway, regional, and on/off-road usage.
  • Focuses on fuel efficiency and reducing operational costs for commercial vehicles.

These innovations reinforce Continental Tires' position as a trusted provider of advanced transport solutions in India.
