The EV startup is a subsidiary of Charge+Zone, the country's top provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. In partnership with CHARGE+ZONE, BillionElectric will also provide charging infrastructure and support for commercial electric vehicles.

BillionElectric intends to overcome challenges in the commercial mobility sector such as high vehicle operating costs, limited availability of quality EVs, high switching costs, a lack of charging infrastructure, and pan-India service by providing a one-stop solution to all hurdles on the platform at a very low cost.

BillionElectric, a platform for e-mobility as a service (e-MaaS), has raised $10 million in a seed round of equity and asset lease funding. The funds will be utilized for two purposes:

  • To install electric tarmac buses at Bengaluru International Airport.
  • To develop an electric vehicle platform for mid-mile heavy trucks.

The EV startup is a subsidiary of Charge+Zone, the country's top provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Following its initial debut in Bengaluru in cooperation with Veera Vahana, BillionElectric claims it has already signed a contract to expand its services to ten additional airports across India. In partnership with CHARGE+ZONE, BillionElectric will also provide charging infrastructure and support for commercial electric vehicles.

"Over the last two years of product development and software innovation, this is our significant investment as it serves as a powerful catalyst in our mission to reshape the transportation landscape and offer cutting-edge, cost-effective, and sustainable mobility solutions to businesses and individuals alike," said Kartikey Hariyani, Co-founder, Chief Platform Architect, BillionElectric.

BillionElectric intends to overcome challenges in the commercial mobility sector such as high vehicle operating costs, limited availability of quality EVs, high switching costs, a lack of charging infrastructure, and pan-India service by providing a one-stop solution to all hurdles on the platform at a very low cost.

The EV startup BillionElectric hopes to reach an astonishing milestone of covering a billion clean energy miles each year. To deliver e-vehicles, it has formed strategic alliances with leading OEMs. Charge+Zone will also help to strengthen the charging infrastructure.

It also makes it easier to collect user behaviour data, identify charging stations, track vehicles with geofencing, and have access to immobilisation technologies.
