Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has expanded its presence in eastern India with the opening of a new authorised BharatBenz dealership, Agile Trucking, at Uluberia in Howrah, West Bengal.
The new dealership strengthens BharatBenz's retail and service network in the state, taking its total number of customer touchpoints in West Bengal to 14. The facility aims to provide easier access to sales, service, spare parts and roadside assistance for commercial vehicle customers in the region.
The Agile Trucking dealership is located along National Highway 16, making it easily accessible for commercial vehicles operating on one of eastern India's important transport and logistics routes.
The new centre is expected to support customers across major industrial and logistics areas in Howrah, East Medinipur and West Medinipur.
The dealership will cater to commercial vehicle and freight operators running services through important locations such as:
Ranihati
Dhulagarh
Sankrail
Haldia
Kharagpur
Its strategic location is expected to help fleet operators access BharatBenz sales and after-sales support more conveniently.
Spread across 100,000 sq. ft., the new Agile Trucking dealership is a full-fledged 3S facility. This means customers can access Sales, Service and Spares under one roof.
The large facility has been developed to provide comprehensive support for BharatBenz commercial vehicle owners and fleet operators.
The workshop features a total of 16 bays to handle regular servicing and repair work.
These include:
12 dedicated service bays
4 dedicated accident repair bays
The facility has the capacity to service more than 500 commercial vehicles every month, helping customers get their vehicles back on the road faster.
Mobile Reach Vans for Roadside Support
To improve support beyond the workshop, the new dealership is equipped with three Mobile Reach Vans.
These vans will provide roadside assistance to BharatBenz customers, helping address vehicle issues and reduce downtime during operations.
A team of 50 trained personnel has been deployed at the Agile Trucking dealership to handle different customer requirements.
The trained workforce will support vehicle sales, regular maintenance, repairs, accident-related work, spare parts requirements and other after-sales services.
Commenting on the new dealership, Rajiv Chaturvedi, President and Chief Business Officer at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said the Agile Trucking facility in Howrah strengthens the company's ability to offer faster service, higher uptime and reliable support across one of eastern India's key logistics corridors.
He said that bringing BharatBenz services closer to customers will further improve the ownership experience. Better service access and quicker support can also help fleet operators keep their vehicles running efficiently and operate their businesses more profitably.
With the opening of the Agile Trucking dealership, BharatBenz now has 14 customer touchpoints across West Bengal.
The expansion highlights DICV's continued focus on strengthening its retail and after-sales network in important commercial vehicle markets. The new Howrah facility is expected to provide fleet owners and transporters with easier access to sales, service, spare parts and roadside assistance while supporting smoother operations across the region's major freight and logistics corridors.
