Ashok Leyland established this line with 80 women employees at their Hosur plant to promote women’s empowerment and attract more women to the manufacturing business.
Ashok Leyland is making an effort to diversify his staff. Giving this chance to women benefits not just them, but also their families and society.
Ashok Leyland has made major investments in training and upskilling them in key manufacturing capabilities, and they will be in charge of the entire production of the new engine line.
"At Ashok Leyland, diversity and inclusion have always been a focus, and we have provided equal chances irrespective of gender and race. This program is in accordance with our brand idea of 'Koi Manzil Door Nahin', as we strive to upskill and provide employment for these women and bring alive their ambitions. We at Ashok Leyland recognize the importance of improving gender balance, and efforts like these help to create a more inclusive ecosystem." stated Shenu Agarwal, MD & CEO.
