Ashok Leyland commercial vehicle sales for November 2023 - A 5% drop with 12,049 units sold in India

Ashok Leyland commercial vehicle sales reached a total of 12,049 units in India and 437 units internationally in November 2023. The company saw a 5% drop in the domestic market and impressive growth of 116% in the international market.

Ashok Leyland, one of the most popular commercial vehicle manufacturers in India, has released its monthly sales report. The brand witnessed a 5% YoY drop with total sales of 12,049 units for November 2023 compared to 12,696 units in 2022.

Ashok Leyland also saw a decline of 3% in November sales (Domestic + Export) with the total reaching 12,486 units. Previously the sales numbers amounted to 12,898 units in Nov 2022.

While the company saw a drop in domestic sales, it flourished significantly in the international market. The brand experienced a +116% year-on-year (YoY) change for the export category with a total of 437 CV units being sold during the month.

Ashok Leyland commercial vehicle total sales reached 5,294 units for the LCV (Light Commercial Vehicles) category. This category saw a growth of 7% when compared to 4,969 units sold in November 2022.

For the M&HCV (Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle) category, the company noted a drop of 13%. The total sales reached 6,755 units for the segment which previously were at 7,727 units.

Commercial Vehicle Export Sales for November 2023

Ashok Leyland saw a remarkable surge in export sales for both commercial vehicle categories. The company sold a total of 259 units for the LCV segment internationally in November 2023. A hike of 119% is seen when compared to 118 units sold last year.

Lastly, for the M&HCV category, a +112% YoY change was noted. The manufacturer reported sales of 178 units this year which were at 84 units last year.
