50% Subsidy on Agricultural Equipment in Madhya Pradesh: Apply Online Before October 6

Farmers in Madhya Pradesh can now get financial assistance on several modern agricultural machines used for crop residue management and land preparation. The state government has released district-wise targets for selected agricultural equipment and invited online applications from eligible farmers.

Under the scheme, eligible farmers can receive a subsidy of up to 50% on the cost of approved agricultural equipment. The actual subsidy amount will depend on the farmer's category, land holding, equipment model price and other eligibility conditions.

The online application process has started on the e-Agricultural Equipment Grant portal and farmers can submit their applications until October 6, 2026. Selection of eligible applicants will be done through a lottery, which is scheduled for October 7, 2026.

Which Agricultural Equipment Are Covered?

The current phase focuses mainly on machines that help farmers manage crop residue and prepare agricultural land. The equipment covered under the scheme includes:

• Shredder/Mulcher

• Baler

• Slasher

• SMS (Straw Management System)

• Hay Rake/Straw Rake

• Rotocultivator

These machines can help farmers handle crop residue more effectively while reducing the effort and time required for field preparation.

How Much Security Amount Is Required?

Farmers applying for these machines must arrange a bank draft (DD) for the prescribed security amount in favour of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer of their district.

A scanned copy of the DD must also be uploaded while submitting the online application. Applications submitted without the required scanned DD will not be considered valid.

Farmers Can Get Up to 50% Subsidy

The Madhya Pradesh government provides subsidies based on the farmer's category and land holding. For eligible farmers, the subsidy can go up to 50% of the equipment cost for the covered crop-residue-management machinery.

However, farmers should note that the final subsidy is not necessarily the same for everyone. It can vary according to the approved model price, farmer category, land holding and eligibility criteria.

Farmers can check the expected subsidy amount using the subsidy calculator available on the e-Krishi Yantra Anudan portal.

Documents Required for Application

Farmers should keep the following documents ready before starting the online application:

• Agri-Stack Farmer ID

• Aadhaar Card

• First page of the bank passbook

• B-1 copy of land records

• Caste certificate for SC and ST farmers

• Tractor Registration Certificate (RC), wherever required for tractor-drawn equipment

• Scanned copy of the prescribed bank draft (DD)

How to Apply for Agricultural Equipment Subsidy

Interested farmers can apply online through the e-Agricultural Equipment Grant portal at farmer.mpdage.org.

Farmers who are already registered can log in using their Aadhaar number and OTP. New farmers need to complete registration through biometric Aadhaar authentication by visiting their nearest MP Online or CSC centre. After registration or login, farmers can select the agricultural equipment they want to purchase. They must then upload the required documents along with the scanned copy of the prescribed DD and submit the application. After applications close, eligible farmers will be selected through a lottery. The lottery is scheduled to take place on October 7, 2026.

Farmers who need clarification regarding eligibility, documentation, the application process or subsidy can contact their block or district agriculture office or the Assistant Agricultural Engineer's office. Farmers are advised to complete their applications and upload all required documents before the October 6, 2026 deadline.
