After the Tata Group company announced it had received the largest order for electric buses from Delhi Transport Corporation, shares of Tata Motors increased by more than 2% on Monday.

According to a senior Tata Motors official, the company and Delhi Transport Corporation signed a contract on Friday for the use of 1,500 electric buses in the nation's capital. In accordance with the contract, TML CV Mobility will provide, run, and maintain 1,500 12-meter low-floor air-conditioned electric buses for a period of 12 years. The Tata Starbus EV was created domestically. This order will further make the partnership strong with DTC, which is built on a foundation of mutual trust and cooperation.

TML CV Mobility Solutions, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has a contract with the DTC to run 1,500 electric buses throughout the city of New Delhi.
After opening flat at 378.3 on the BSE, Tata Motors' share price increased as much as 2.3% in response to the news, reaching a high of 387. It is truly a historic occasion for TML CV Mobility Solutions.
This is a significant step toward the capital city adopting electric mobility. The introduction of quiet, emission-free buses will significantly contribute to bettering the city's air quality. These buses will have advanced features and plush seats. The new buses will also greatly benefit commuters. More than 730 electric buses from Tata Motors have been delivered to various cities in India so far. These buses have logged more than 55 million miles and have an uptime of over 95%.
