Founders and Beginning
In 2018, three engineers named Sid Das, Subodh Yadav, and Chetan Singhal started IPLTech Electric. They wanted to create electric trucks that could carry heavy loads and be used in different industries.
In 2019, IPLTech Electric introduced its first electric truck called the Rhino 5536e. It is an electric heavy-duty truck that can carry up to 60 tonnes of weight. What's unique is that the Rhino 5536e is entirely developed, designed, and built in India.

The Rhino 5536e is known for its great performance, high gradability (ability to climb steep slopes), and high regeneration (recovering energy while braking). These features show the potential of electric trucks in the business of transporting goods.
Battery
The IPLT Rhino 5536e runs on a modern and powerful electric system, consisting of a 258 kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery and an electric motor. The power distribution unit supplies the battery power to other control units. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art Battery Management System (BMS) for optimal battery performance.
Electric Motor
The electric motor in the Rhino 5536 has a peak power output of approximately 360 hp and delivers an impressive torque of 2400 Nm for efficient performance. The electric truck offers impressive acceleration, nearly twice as fast as its diesel counterpart.
Fast Charging Capability
The Rhino 5536e supports fast charging, allowing it to be charged 100% in just 1.5 hours using a 160 kW fast charger. The fast chargers are designed according to universal standards, making them compatible with other electric trucks for convenient charging.
Range and Speed
The Rhino 5536e claims a range of 185 km on a single charge, though the actual range can vary based on the payload it carries. The electric truck can reach a top speed of 90 km per hour. The Rhino 5536 comes with an automatic transmission for ease of use.

Equipped with a 12-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) motor and gearbox, the truck gives a peak power of 360 HP and a peak torque of 2400 Nm. It comes with a robust 258 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, controlled by a Motor Control Unit (MCU) for efficient energy conversion from DC to AC.
Reliability on the Road
The truck's chassis frame is both strong and reliable, offering a remarkable gradability of 28%. It features heavy-duty Meritor axles at the front and rear, coupled with front-parabolic leaf springs and rear-heavy-duty Tata Hendrickson bogie suspension.
Service Assurance with IPLTech Electric
Understanding the importance of maintenance in the world of heavy commercial vehicles, IPLTech Electric offers a 10-year/9-lac km Premium Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for the RHINO 5536e. The company goes a step further by guaranteeing an uptime of 95% in the first to third year and 90% in the fourth and fifth year, ensuring the truck operates at peak efficiency throughout its lifecycle.
