Millet (Bajra): ₹2,775 per quintal

Jowar (Maldandi): ₹3,749 per quintal
Officials said that these revised rates will help farmers get fair returns and prevent private traders from purchasing produce at unfairly low prices.
Maize will be procured from 25 districts across Uttar Pradesh, including: Bulandshahr, Badaun, Hardoi, Unnao, Mainpuri, Agra, Firozabad, Aligarh, Etah, Kasganj, Hathras, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Farrukhabad, Auraiya, Kannauj, Etawah, Gonda, Bahraich, Ballia, Jaunpur, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Deoria, and Lalitpur.

The state government has set clear targets for the total procurement quantity:

Maize | 15,000 metric tonnes | 75 centers |
Millet (Bajra) | 2.20 lakh metric tonnes | 300 centers |
Sorghum (Jowar) | 50,000 metric tonnes | 80 centers |
Each center will function to ensure timely procurement and payment for registered farmers.
All procurement centers will remain open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, except on Sundays and gazetted holidays. The District Magistrate will have the authority to adjust timings as per local needs.
Farmers must register before selling their crops. Registration can be done online through the Food and Civil Supplies Department’s website http://fcs.up.gov.in or via the UP Kisan Mitra mobile app.
During registration, farmers will need to provide:
Name and Aadhaar number
Bank account details
Land information
Scanned copies of Khatauni (land certificate), bank passbook, and Aadhaar card
After registration, a receipt will be generated, which must be shown at the procurement center for selling crops at MSP.
Payments for purchased crops will be credited directly to farmers’ Aadhaar-linked and NPCI-mapped bank accounts through the PFMS (Public Financial Management System) portal. This ensures secure, transparent, and timely payments to all registered farmers.
Registration is mandatory before crop sale.
The Revenue Department will verify the farmer’s produce.
Appointment of handling and transport contractors will be done through e-tendering by the Divisional Food Controller and procurement agencies.
Only registered farmers will be allowed to sell through biometric authentication via Electronic Point of Purchase (e-POP) machines at the centers.
With the launch of the 2025–26 Kharif procurement policy, the Uttar Pradesh government aims to provide assured prices and smooth selling arrangements for maize, sorghum, and millet farmers. The online registration and digital payment system will help ensure transparency and prevent exploitation by middlemen. Farmers are encouraged to register early and make full use of the government’s MSP support for better income and market stability.
