MSP Fixed for Maize, Sorghum, and Millet

The state government has fixed the following support prices for coarse cereals for 2025–26:

  • Millet (Bajra): ₹2,775 per quintal

  • Jowar (Hybrid): ₹3,699 per quintal

  • Jowar (Maldandi): ₹3,749 per quintal

Farmer Registration Process

Farmers must register before selling their crops. Registration can be done online through the Food and Civil Supplies Department’s website http://fcs.up.gov.in or via the UP Kisan Mitra mobile app.

During registration, farmers will need to provide:

  • Name and Aadhaar number

  • Bank account details

  • Land information

  • Scanned copies of Khatauni (land certificate), bank passbook, and Aadhaar card

After registration, a receipt will be generated, which must be shown at the procurement center for selling crops at MSP.

Payment Procedure

Payments for purchased crops will be credited directly to farmers’ Aadhaar-linked and NPCI-mapped bank accounts through the PFMS (Public Financial Management System) portal. This ensures secure, transparent, and timely payments to all registered farmers.

Additional Guidelines for Smooth Procurement

  • Registration is mandatory before crop sale.

  • The Revenue Department will verify the farmer’s produce.

  • Appointment of handling and transport contractors will be done through e-tendering by the Divisional Food Controller and procurement agencies.

  • Only registered farmers will be allowed to sell through biometric authentication via Electronic Point of Purchase (e-POP) machines at the centers.
