The Rajasthan government is set to launch an E-mandi platform to help farmers sell their crops online. This initiative, part of the 2024-25 budget, aims to ensure farmers get better prices for their produce without visiting physical markets.

The E-mandi platform will digitize the entire process of selling crops, including gate passes, auctions, and payments. This means farmers can sell their crops directly from home, reducing their reliance on traditional markets.
A team of Rajasthan officials will study similar platforms like e-Anujya and Farmgate in Madhya Pradesh. Based on their findings, they will adapt and implement the system in Rajasthan.

Farmers can already register online to sell crops at minimum support price (MSP) purchase centers. For this year’s Kharif season:
The platform is expected to roll out soon, with officials fine-tuning it to benefit both farmers and traders. By digitizing mandis, Rajasthan aims to modernize agriculture and empower its farmers.
