Australian farmers and contractors will soon have access to an expanded range of New Holland’s T7 PLMi Long Wheelbase tractors. The company has announced the availability of four distinct models starting from April 2024. This expansion includes a flagship model designed to deliver increased power and efficiency while maintaining maneuverability.
Ben Mitchell, Product Segment Manager for Mixed Farming & Livestock, ANZ, highlighted that the new T7.300 Long Wheelbase with PLM Intelligence™ (T7 LWB PLMi) was developed in response to customer demand. Customers expressed the need for a tractor with more power without sacrificing maneuverability or increasing weight. The T7.300 addresses this demand by offering enhanced power, technology, and comfort features.
The T7.300 offers a host of enhanced features aimed at maximizing efficiency and productivity. At its heart lies a powerful FPT 6-cylinder engine capable of delivering 280 horsepower for draft work and 300 horsepower for Power Take-Off (PTO) and haulage tasks. This significant power boost, coupled with larger tires for increased traction, allows farmers and contractors to spend more time in the field, aided by an 18% increase in fuel capacity for extended operating hours.
The T7.300 boasts an upgraded version of New Holland’s Auto Command™ transmission, renowned for its exceptional driveline efficiency. This transmission system, combined with Integrated Large Square Baler Control, optimizes interaction between the tractor and baler, resulting in a 15% reduction in cab movement and a 12% decrease in fuel consumption during the baling cycle. These advancements contribute to improved overall efficiency and reduced operating costs.
Operator comfort and ease of use are foremost in the design of the T7.300. The Horizon Ultra cab offers a quiet and ergonomic workspace, featuring advanced technology such as the IntelliView 12 monitor and the SideWinder Ultra fully adjustable armrest. Additionally, the Comfort Ride suspension system ensures a smooth and comfortable ride, even during extended periods of operation, further enhancing operator satisfaction and productivity.
The T7.300 is equipped with New Holland’s advanced PLM Intelligence, incorporating cutting-edge technologies to optimize field performance. Features such as IntelliSteer 1.5cm accuracy autosteering and IntelliTurn headland sequence management enable precise and efficient operation. Moreover, as the first New Holland tractor to be fully ISOBUS Tractor Implement Management (TIM) certified, the T7.300 allows seamless communication between the tractor and implement, enhancing overall operational efficiency and productivity.
The new T7.300, along with the expanded T7 LWB PLMi and T7 LWB Tier 3 range, was showcased to the New Holland dealer network at a recent event in Victoria. The public will have the opportunity to experience the T7.300 firsthand at the Future Ag event in Melbourne from April 17th to 19th. This event marks the official debut of the T7.300 to the broader agricultural community, providing farmers and contractors with the chance to explore its capabilities and features.
Ben Mitchell emphasized that New Holland now offers a wide range of models catering to various customer needs. From high-hours operators seeking fully connected machines to beef cattle or dairy farmers requiring basic yet powerful tractors, New Holland aims to meet diverse agricultural requirements with its expanded range of offerings. By providing a comprehensive lineup of tractors, New Holland reaffirms its commitment to supporting the evolving needs of the Australian farming community.
New Holland's introduction of the T7.300 Long Wheelbase with PLM Intelligence represents a significant advancement in tractor technology for Australian farmers. With enhanced power, efficiency, and comfort features, coupled with cutting-edge intelligence systems, this flagship model promises to revolutionize agricultural operations. By offering a diverse range of models, New Holland reaffirms its dedication to meeting the evolving needs of farmers and contractors across Australia.
