The Haryana government has announced major and far-reaching changes to the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana, aiming to further strengthen women’s empowerment across the state. With an increased income limit and the addition of three new beneficiary categories, the scheme’s reach has expanded significantly. This move is expected to bring more than one lakh new women under its coverage and provide them with ₹2,100 per month as financial support.
The government believes these changes will help women from economically weaker sections become self-reliant and improve the overall socio-economic condition of their families.

The Haryana government has clearly stated that women already receiving benefits under the Lado Laxmi Yojana will continue without any interruption. There will be no reduction or stoppage in assistance.
Women with an annual family income of up to ₹1 lakh will remain eligible and will keep receiving the ₹2,100 monthly assistance as before. Existing beneficiaries do not need to worry about the revised guidelines.
To expand the scope of the scheme, the government has raised the income limit for the newly added categories to ₹1.80 lakh per year. Benefits under these categories will be available for families with a maximum of three children.
These additions are designed to motivate mothers to actively support their children’s education, health, and nutrition, while also rewarding positive outcomes in these areas.
Under the first new category, mothers will be eligible if:
Annual family income is below ₹1.80 lakh
Children study in government schools
Children score more than 80% in Class 10 or Class 12
Eligible mothers will receive ₹2,100 per month, encouraging better academic performance and promoting the importance of education.
The second category is connected to the NIPUN Mission of the Government of India. Mothers will qualify if:
Family income is under ₹1.80 lakh
Children achieve grade-level proficiency in Classes 1 to 4
This step focuses on strengthening early education and improving basic reading and mathematical skills at the foundation level.
The third category addresses child health and nutrition. Mothers will receive monthly assistance if:
Family income is below ₹1.80 lakh
A previously malnourished or anemic child recovers and enters the green zone
This initiative encourages mothers to pay special attention to their children’s nutrition and overall health.
To make the scheme more impactful, the Haryana government has introduced a structured savings system for the monthly assistance:
₹1,100 will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account
The government will deposit ₹1,000 as a Recurring Deposit or Fixed Deposit
The deposited amount, along with interest, will be paid to the beneficiary. In case of the beneficiary’s untimely death, the entire amount will be immediately transferred to her nominee, ensuring financial security for the family.
The revised Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana goes beyond short-term financial aid. By linking benefits with education, health, nutrition, and savings, the Haryana government has laid a strong foundation for long-term women's empowerment.
These reforms are expected to bring meaningful relief to thousands of families and play a key role in building a more secure and self-reliant future for women in Haryana.

The revised Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana represents a significant step forward by the Haryana government in promoting inclusive women's empowerment. By increasing the income limit, adding education, health, and nutrition-based categories, and introducing a savings component, the scheme now offers both immediate support and long-term security. These changes ensure wider coverage, encourage positive social outcomes, and strengthen financial stability for women and their families across the state.
