Step 4: During heavy rains, excess water flows out through these channels. In dry weather, the furrows help supply moisture to the roots.
This ensures that the crop does not rot in excess water and does not dry out during low rainfall.
To promote smart and climate-resilient farming, both state and central governments provide a subsidy of 40% to 50% on the purchase of raised bed planter machines. For example:
