The much-awaited Kisan Mela 2025 has started in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, bringing farmers a wealth of opportunities and information. Organized by the Department of Agriculture, this three-day fair aims to educate farmers about the latest agricultural techniques and help resolve their farming challenges.

The event, held under the theme "Agriclimate Zone" as part of the Agricultural Information System and Farmer Awareness Program, began today at the ITI Ground, Rae Bareli, and will run till January 10, 2025. The fair will start daily at 10 am, and farmers from across the region are encouraged to attend.

    • Kisan Credit Cards.
  • Closing ceremony and prize distribution.

Horticulture Festival 2025 Achieves Milestones in Patna

In a related event, the recently concluded Horticulture Festival 2025 in Patna, Bihar, achieved remarkable success. Held at Gandhi Maidan, this three-day festival attracted over 2 lakh visitors and saw plants worth ₹50 lakh sold, including popular varieties such as roses, marigolds, and money plants.

Highlights of Horticulture Festival 2025

  • Over 150 applications were received for the Rooftop Gardening Scheme.
  • Farmers from Bhagalpur, Patna, and Vaishali districts emerged as top award winners.
  • Prizes worth ₹12 lakh were distributed to 297 winners across various competitions.
  • 788 farmers displayed more than 1,200 products at 100 stalls, selling agricultural goods like seeds, seedlings, ornamental plants, honey, and makhanas worth ₹25 lakh.

Agriculture Minister Mangal Pandey emphasized the state's commitment to expanding horticulture across 13.5 lakh hectares, with plans to cultivate special fruits, flowers, and vegetables.
