Farmers who meet any of the following criteria will be given preference under the scheme:
Farmers who already have an agriculture electricity connection (Krishi Pump) but are willing to disconnect it.
Farmers who have applied for electricity connections but have not received them yet.
Those who had applied for electricity-based tubewells (1 HP to 10 HP) from 2019 to 2023 under UHBVN or DHBVN.
To qualify, existing electricity applicants must surrender their power connection.
Beneficiaries will be selected in 2025 based on annual income and land ownership records. Farmers only need to dig a borewell; the chosen company will handle the solar pump installation.
Farmers who had applied earlier between 20 February to 5 March 2024 and 11 July to 25 July 2024 must deposit their beneficiary share if they haven’t already.
If they don’t deposit their share, their old application will be canceled.
If they’ve already applied during the above dates, they don’t need to reapply, just deposit the share as per the earlier challan.

There must be no existing solar pump in the name of the farmer or their family.
No electricity-based pump should be registered in the farmer’s name.
The applicant must have agricultural land in their name (Jamabandi or Fard).
In villages where groundwater is below 100 feet, drip or sprinkler systems are required.
