The Haryana government has announced major relief for farmers affected by excessive rainfall and flooding during the Kharif season this year. Payments have already started, and the entire amount will be transferred directly to farmers bank accounts within the next week.
Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana was also present during the announcement.
Addressing the media, Chief Minister Saini said that farmers suffered heavy losses due to floods and continuous rainfall in August and September. To provide quick support, the government decided to release compensation without delay so that farmers can recover and prepare for the next agricultural cycle.

During August and September, several districts in Haryana experienced heavy rainfall and flood-like conditions. The Chief Minister personally visited flood-affected areas and interacted with farmers to understand the extent of losses.
To ensure transparency, the e-compensation portal was opened until September 15, allowing farmers to report crop damage. Under this process:
Over 5.29 lakh farmers registered
Damage was reported on 31 lakh acres of agricultural land
After verification, crop damage was confirmed on 1,20,380 acres
Compensation was approved for 53,821 farmers
The maximum crop damage was reported in three districts:
Charkhi Dadri: ₹235.5 million released
Hisar: ₹178.2 million released
Bhiwani: ₹121.5 million released
In addition, ₹47.2 million has already been released to compensate for livestock loss, house damage, and loss of other essential items caused by floods.
The Chief Minister also announced strict action against officials found negligent during the verification process. Six Patwaris have been suspended for lapses in crop damage assessment.
He clearly stated that the government is accountable to every citizen and will not tolerate negligence by any officer or employee.
Along with crop loss compensation, the Haryana government has provided another big relief to millet farmers under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana.

Farmers are being given ₹575 per quintal as Bhavantar amount

Amount will be credited to farmers’ accounts soon
This year, the state procured a record 6.23 lakh metric tonnes of millet, the highest-ever in Haryana.
So far, the government has already released ₹927 crore under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana. With the latest release, the total Bhavantar compensation has reached ₹1,285 crore 62 lakh.
