Bihar to issue Farmer ID to 75 lakh farmers within one month under Agri Stack.
Registered farmers to receive ₹6,000 yearly aid through PM Kisan Yojana.
Revenue Department orders immediate correction of land record errors.
20 lakh Farmer IDs issued, over 4.5 lakh farmers completed e-KYC.
PM Kisan payments to be made only through registered Farmer IDs.
There is big relief for farmers in Bihar as the process of issuing Farmer IDs (Farmer Identity Cards) is moving quickly across the state. Under the Agri Stack campaign, farmers are being given a unique digital identity to help them easily access government schemes.
The Bihar government has set a target to issue Farmer IDs to 75 lakh farmers within the next one month. Once registered, eligible farmers will continue to receive ₹6,000 per year under the PM Kisan Yojana directly into their bank accounts.
During the Farmer ID registration process, many farmers have faced problems due to errors in land records. Taking this issue seriously, the Revenue and Land Reforms Department has instructed its field officers to immediately correct land-related discrepancies.
Farmers who applied for a Farmer Card through the Parimarjan Plus online system and faced issues due to land record errors will now get relief through fast-track corrections.
Revenue Department Secretary Jai Singh confirmed that the Revenue Department and the Agriculture Department are jointly working to link farmers land records with the agriculture database.
He stated that District Magistrates (DMs) have been directed to guide circle officers to resolve all land record-related applications received on Parimarjan Plus. The government has clarified that correct land records are essential for completing Farmer ID creation and Agri Stack registration.
The decision was taken after large-scale complaints from farmers. Many Farmer ID applications were rejected due to:
Mismatch in farmer names
Errors in fathers names
Incorrect land area details
Mistakes in Khasra numbers
Serious errors in digitized Jamabandi (land title records)
In several cases, such mistakes made it impossible to register farmers under the Agri Stack system.
A senior agriculture department official said that a large number of farmers have already applied online for the Farmer Register. However, mismatches with land records caused technical problems in linking Farmer IDs with land details.
The official confirmed that the Revenue Department has been informed and all pending cases are being resolved quickly so that farmers do not miss out on benefits.
As per the Agriculture Department:
Nearly 20 lakh farmers have already received Farmer IDs
Over 4.5 lakh farmers have completed the e-KYC process
Under e-KYC, farmers’ names, addresses, land details, and other important information are being digitally verified and stored.
To connect more farmers with the Agri Stack program, the Agriculture Department is organizing special camps at the Panchayat level across districts. These camps help farmers register easily and understand the benefits of having a Farmer ID.
The government has also made it clear that future PM Kisan payments will be released only through registered Farmer IDs, making Agri Stack registration essential for farmers.
The Revenue Department Secretary assured that all eligible PM Kisan beneficiaries will be linked with Farmer IDs within the given timeline. This work is being carried out on a priority basis.
According to agriculture officials, around 2 crore farmers in Bihar will be included in the Agri Stack program in a phased manner. The main goal is to ensure that no farmer loses benefits due to technical or documentation issues and that financial assistance reaches farmers on time.

With faster Farmer ID issuance, correction of land records, and mandatory Agri Stack registration, the Bihar government is strengthening digital support for farmers. This move will ensure smooth access to PM Kisan benefits, transparent records, and timely financial help, bringing long-term relief to millions of farmers across the state.
