The Chhattisgarh government has launched the Krishak Unnati Yojana to support farmers and reduce cultivation costs. Under this scheme, farmers will receive a subsidy of up to ₹15,351 per acre on paddy farming. Subsidies are also available for other crops like maize, cotton, pulses, oilseeds, and millets.
Krishak Unnati Yojana is an initiative by the Chhattisgarh Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Department. It is designed to boost agricultural productivity, promote alternative crops, and double farmers' income. The scheme aims to encourage the use of quality seeds, fertilizers, and modern farming practices.
Most regions of Chhattisgarh are rain-fed, which leads to inconsistent yields and rising input costs. Farmers often struggle with low investment in essential inputs. This scheme ensures that farmers get the necessary financial support to buy fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, and tools, ultimately improving their production and income.
Farmers growing common variety paddy will receive ₹731 per quintal, totaling up to ₹15,351 per acre.
For Grade-A paddy, the subsidy is ₹711 per quintal, amounting to ₹14,931 per acre.
Farmers who sold paddy at MSP to cooperative societies in the last Kharif season and chose other crops this year will get ₹11,000 per acre as subsidy.
To claim this, registration on the Integrated Farmer Portal and confirmation in Girdawari records are compulsory.
If you grow pulses, oilseeds, maize, kodo, kutki, ragi, or cotton, you’ll get ₹10,000 per acre under this scheme. This financial assistance will be directly transferred to your bank account via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
