Under the Phase II Scheme, the centre has given Incentives of approximately Rs. 3,311 Cr. until December 19, 2022.

Under Phase II of the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME II India) scheme, the Centre has disbursed INR 3,311 crore as an incentive to end consumers for purchasing electric vehicles.
This above information was provided by the Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar. Under Phase II of the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME India) Scheme, 7,66,478 Electric Vehicles have been supported by an Incentive of approximately Rs. 3,311 Cr. until December 19, 2022.
This information was provided by Krishan Pal Gurjar, Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries, during a recent Rajya Sabha session. In total, 766,478 EVs have benefited from the incentive.
Under the scheme, the Ministry of Heavy Industries has also sanctioned 6,315 e-buses to 65 cities/STUs/CTUs/State Government entities for intracity and intercity operations in 26 states/UTs. Under FAME II, it has also approved 2,877 charging stations in 68 cities across 25 states/UTs.
The Centre's budget for FAME II has increased from INR 500 crore in 2019-2020 to INR 1128.45 crore in 2022-23.
