Tresa Motors, a leading name in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, has unveiled its latest innovation - the E-Axle equipped with an axial flux motor. This revolutionary technology promises to reshape the electric trucking landscape and accelerate the global transition towards sustainable transportation.

Tresa Motors, based in Bengaluru, showed the DAX-1 electric axle, which incorporates Tresa's FLUX350 motor, motor controller, AMT gearbox, and differential into a single compact unit. Tresa Motors unveiled its first electric truck, the Model V0.1, built on their axial flux motor platform Flux 350, in July.

Tresa Motors claims that their Model V0.1 medium and heavy electric truck platform can handle loads of 18 to 55 tons. The DAX-1 is propelled by Tresa's FLUX350 platform motors, which have a power range of 150Kw to 350Kw. The motor, which weighs a little under 25kg, has a power output of up to 350 kW.

Tresa's battery packs (Meg50) have a capacity of 50Kwh and are totally submerged in di-electric liquid, which the business claims provides 360-degree cooling to its cells as well as acting as a fire retardant.

The company's flagship truck, Model V0.1, also demonstrates the adaptability of its battery packs, allowing the Model V's range to be improved even after the truck is purchased. The Model V may carry up to 12 modules of Meg50, depending on range and use.

In terms of driver comfort, Model V cabins feature central seating for drivers, providing a commanding perspective of the road ahead, as well as air conditioning and airbags. They also use LIDAR and AI, and they claim to be among the safest in the world.

Tresa Motors is India's sole manufacturer of the axial flux motor-powered eAxle, demonstrating the country's strength in EV technology. Tresa is getting closer to commencing road trials with its partners with the release of the Model V0.1.

Tresa Motors is developing electric trucks in the 18T-55T GVW market and revealed its first vehicle, the Model V0.1, on July 3, 2023.

One of the most exciting aspects of the E-Axle is its potential to revolutionise long-haul trucking. By increasing the power density and efficiency of electric trucks, Tresa Motors aims to address one of the main barriers to widespread adoption - range anxiety.

With the E-Axle, electric trucks are expected to achieve longer ranges on a single charge, making them a viable and eco-friendly alternative for long-distance transportation.

Tresa Motors has long been at the forefront of the EV revolution, consistently pushing the boundaries of what electric vehicles can achieve. The introduction of the E-Axle with an axial flux motor is another testament to the company's commitment to innovation and environmental sustainability.

The E-Axle's introduction signifies a major step towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector, a significant contributor to climate change.

As Tresa Motors prepares to initiate electric truck trials, the world eagerly anticipates the results that could reshape the future of transportation. With its commitment to innovation and sustainability, Tresa Motors is leading the way towards a cleaner and more sustainable future for the trucking industry and beyond.
