Tata Motors' introduction of the Ace EV in Nepal represents a significant step toward sustainable transportation in the country. Tata Motors has introduced the Ace EV in Nepal through Sipradi Trading, its sole authorized distributor. The Ace EV makes its global debut at this event.
Tata Ace EV is a zero-emission version of their famous compact commercial vehicle. Customers in Kathmandu have received the first Tata Ace EV fleet.
Tata Motors introduced the Tata Ace EV in May 2022 after rigorous real-world testing. At the time of its launch, the Tata Ace EV had 39,000 pre-orders, and the business had inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with prominent e-commerce companies and logistical service providers in India.
"Electrification of passenger and cargo transport is an irreversible trend," stated Anurag Mehrotra, Head of International Business, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Business.
The Ace EV boasts a robust powertrain, delivering impressive performance capabilities while ensuring a smooth and silent ride. Its electric motor provides ample torque and acceleration, making it suitable for various applications, including goods transport and passenger shuttles within city limits. Additionally, the vehicle's battery pack offers a commendable range on a single charge, addressing range anxiety concerns.

One of the key advantages of the Ace EV is its environmental friendliness. With the ongoing global concern over air pollution and climate change, electric vehicles (EVs) are being seen as a pivotal solution. By introducing the Ace EV in Nepal, Tata Motors aims to contribute to reducing carbon emissions in the region, helping combat the adverse effects of pollution on public health and the environment.
The Ace EV, Tata Motors' first product using the Evogen engine, is powered by a 27kW (36hp) motor with 130 Nm of peak torque. To extend the driving range, the zero-emission compact commercial vehicle has a certified range of 154 kilometers, an innovative battery cooling system, and regenerative braking.
The Tata Ace EV is designed for intra-city applications and is aimed at e-commerce logistics and last-mile mobility operators. It has a cargo volume of 208 cubic feet and a gradeability of 22%, allowing for simple ascent even when fully loaded. The container of the Ace EV has been customized to meet the needs of clients in Nepal.
Tata Motors has ensured that Ace EV is well-equipped to handle these conditions, making it a versatile choice for businesses and individuals operating in diverse topographies.
