Tata Motors commercial vehicle sales for November 2023 - Total 26,579 units sold in India at 3% drop

Tata Motors registered total sales of 26,579 units in the month of November this year. The company saw a drop in total domestic and international sales during the month.

Tata Motors Limited, one of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in India has revealed the sales data for November 2023. The company saw a decline of 3% with 26,579 units of commercial vehicles (CV) being sold domestically for the month.

The company reported total (Domestic + Export) sales of 74,172 units (CVs + PVs) in Nov 2023. Previously total numbers were at 75,478 units in November 2022.

The company saw a drop in both domestic and international sales under the CVs category. In the international market (Exports), the company saw a decline of 11% with a total of 1,450 units of CV being sold in Nov 2023.

Tata sold a total of 28,029 units of CVs including domestic and export sales at a -4% year-on-year change. For the same month, Tata had sold 29,053 units of CVs last year.

HCV Trucks

For the Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV) category, Tata reported a slight growth of 1% with total sales of 8,253 units during the month. Last year the brand closed sales of 8,194 units for the same category.

ILMCV Trucks

Tata Motors Ltd reported a gain of 6% with total sales reaching 4,385 units for the Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles (ILMCV) category.

Passenger Carriers

The brand sold a total of 2,130 units of CVs at a +4% YoY change compared to 2,041 units sold in Nov 2022.

SCV Cargo and Pickup

Small Commercial Vehicles (SCV) is the only category to see a drop in domestic sales. A decline of 9% was recorded with total sales reaching 11,811 units in November 2023.
