Tata Motors, a leading global automotive manufacturer, has announced its strategic partnership with the Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT), a pioneering global alliance initiated by the governments of Sweden and India at the UN Climate Action Summit in September 2019.
In a press release issued today, Tata Motors highlighted the significant implications of this collaboration. As a member of LeadIT, the company aims to leverage global best practices, contribute to policy-making efforts, and collaborate with other industry leaders to strengthen their climate action strategies. This partnership assures Tata Motors' journey towards achieving net-zero emissions, a critical milestone in combating climate change.

Tata Motors, a prominent player in the automotive sector, has been actively pursuing sustainable practices. The company has already installed 109 MW of renewable energy capacity and plans to further expand it by approximately 300 MW over the next three years, aiming to become a RE100 company.
Over the past three years, Tata Motors has made significant steps in reducing its Scope 1+2 emissions intensity by an impressive 44%. Additionally, the company is at the forefront of the electric and zero-emissions vehicle revolution, offering a range of low-emissions alternate powertrain options to facilitate deep decarbonization, particularly in its Scope 3 emissions.
