Key Highlights:
TATA.ev, the top electric vehicle manufacturing brand in India, has started a new chapter in the EV journey by opening its first 10 MegaChargers. These high-speed charging stations have been set up in partnership with ChargeZone and Statiq. This step comes after TATA.ev promised to grow the EV charging network to 400,000 points by 2027.
To support this goal, TATA.ev has teamed up with various charging service providers and fuel companies under its ‘Open Collaboration’ model. This has helped expand EV charging facilities, especially on highways, making long trips easier for electric vehicle users. The new TATA.ev MegaCharger network is part of this plan and is designed to offer faster charging and better reliability for EV drivers.
Leadership Insights:
Balaje Rajan, Chief Strategy Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., expressed his excitement about the launch of the first 10 TATA.ev MegaCharger stations. He shared that as more people in India start using electric vehicles, there is a strong need for reliable and widespread charging options. These new chargers, placed on key EV routes, are just the beginning of a fast-charging network that will cover major highways. The aim is to connect all major cities and reduce the worry of finding charging points during long trips. He added that TATA.ev is focused on making charging quick, dependable, and easy for everyone – and this is just the beginning.
