The Tata Ace Pro EV stands out for its high-torque electric motor, providing lively acceleration compared to internal combustion engine (ICE) trucks. Its 50 kmph top speed ensures timely deliveries while maintaining safety, especially in urban environments. The truck's compact design further enhances its suitability for city logistics.
Gradeability is a key strength of the Ace Pro EV. It can handle slopes with a 21% grade, allowing it to climb flyovers and elevated roads efficiently, even when loaded. This performance is comparable to many larger electric and ICE trucks in the market.
The certified driving range of the Ace Pro EV is about 155 km per charge. In real-world conditions, users can expect a range between 100 and 120 km per charge. Recharging the battery from 5% to 100% takes approximately 6 hours overnight, supporting daily operational needs.
The Ace Pro EV is equipped with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, supported by a regenerative braking system with selectable modes. This setup provides effective braking under both loaded and unloaded conditions. The regenerative system also helps convert kinetic energy back into electrical energy, improving efficiency.
For ride quality, Tata Motors has fitted the Ace Pro EV with an independent McPherson strut suspension at the front and a semi-trailing arm with coil spring and hydraulic damper at the rear. This configuration offers improved ride comfort and stability compared to traditional leaf spring setups. The suspension system ensures the truck remains stable and comfortable, whether empty or carrying cargo.
The Tata Ace Pro EV is versatile, making it suitable for various commercial uses. Key applications include transporting fast-moving and perishable consumer goods, e-commerce deliveries, and cold drink crates. Its high torque, efficient range, and stable handling make it a reliable choice for businesses.
The starting price for the Tata Ace Pro EV is Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This competitive pricing, combined with its features, makes it an attractive option for new business owners and drivers transitioning from three-wheelers to four-wheelers.
