Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, the Advisor of School Education & SCERT, delivered an optimistic address, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the departments involved in the VAC.
In a momentous step towards Agricultural Advancement, Pfuchatsumia Khel in Kohima Village, Nagaland, witnessed the launch of the Village Adoption Committee (VAC) initiative. The kick-off program, held at the P Khel Council Hall, marked a significant occasion as the community received essential Tractor and Power Tillers to enhance agriculture activities in the region.
The VAC includes representatives from Kohima Municipal Council, PHED (Urban), the Chief Veterinary Officer, DIC Kohima, the Department of Social Welfare, and BDO Kohima. These departments presented their activity plans during the event, pledging full assistance for the implementation of centrally funded and state government schemes in Pfuchatsumia Khel.
Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, the Advisor of School Education & SCERT, delivered an optimistic speech, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the departments involved in the VAC. Shedding light on the importance of cohesion between the VAC and P Khel Council, he envisioned a broader positive impact on the entire Kohima village once the initiative proved successful in Pfuchatsumia Khel.
Commending the P Khel Council for prioritizing communal development over individual interests, Dr. Yhome officially handed over key agricultural machinery to boost productivity. The equipment included a tractor, three power tillers, and two grass cutters.
The program, chaired by EAC & VAC Convener Dr. Riku Khutso, saw the active participation of 10 departments committed to the welfare of Pfuchatsumia Khel.
Dr. Khutso sought the support and cooperation of the P Khel Council for the seamless execution of the project. He disclosed plans for collaboration with the council to devise an action plan guiding various activities undertaken by the participating departments.

Dr. Menuosietuo Tseikha, District Project Officer of the Department of Land Resource, emphasized the purpose of village adoption and outlined the various projects available under the department.

The session ended on a positive note, laying the groundwork for collaborative efforts to bring about development in Pfuchatsumia Khel, which could serve as a model for other regions in Kohima Village.
