Olectra Greentech (OGL), a Megha Engineering & Infrastructures (MEIL) group company, has earned the ICAT homologation certificate for its 64 heavy-duty electric tippers. Furthermore, the company claims that the sample e-tipper, which was shown in Delhi and Bangalore, sparked a lot of attention.

Olectra Greentech claims it is currently in advanced talks to secure an order for 20 e-tippers. As per the press release by the company, its e-tippers are in compliance with the Central Motor Vehicle Rules and have gained all essential approvals to be on the road.

According to Olectra Greentech, the country's first e-tipper has been tested in a variety of environments, including mountainous terrain, high altitudes, mining, and quarrying, to determine whether it is suitable for road use.

The ICAT certification is also recognized in the Netherlands, Singapore, Australia, and other nations, allowing it to pursue export opportunities.

Specifications of electric tipper

  • Maximum torque:2,400 Nm
  • Tipping angle: 46 degrees
  • Gradeability: 25%
  • Load capacity: 28,000kg
  • Maximum range: roughly 150 kilometres per charge.
  • It has fast charging capability and can be fully charged in two hours with a DC fast charger.

Olectra is a prominent player in the electric heavy vehicle category in India, and its e-tipper has become the country's first certified heavy-duty electric tipper.

As per the sources, the first order for twenty e-tippers is nearly complete. The next aim of the firm is to release electric truck models.

According to the manufacturer, the Olectra electric tipper will provide a green solution in the construction, infrastructure, mining, and quarrying industries. Because of the volume of material that must be carried to work sites, these industries are extremely demanding.

The Olectra electric tipper has a reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), allowing owners to increase their operating earnings. Because it is silent and emits no carbon emissions, the e-tipper can be used on construction sites around the clock.
