Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has introduced a new metal-bodied edition of its famous Treo Plus electric three wheeler, which starts at INR 3.58 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Treo Plus model, with its sturdy metal body, is intended to provide increased durability and reliability while meeting the changing needs of the Indian market.
This strategic move is in response to consumers feedback, and it demonstrates MLMML's dedication to innovation and client satisfaction in the fast changing electric vehicle (EV) landscape.
Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of MLMML highlighted the company's commitment to listening to customers and improving their entrepreneurial journey, stating, "The introduction of the metal-bodied Treo is a testament to our commitment to delivering products that not only meet but exceed customer expectations in terms of reliability and total cost of ownership (TCO)."
Since its launch in 2018, the Treo series has established itself as a market leader in the Indian EV sector, with over 50,000 units sold, accounting for around 52% of the L5M EV category.
The Treo vehicles have cumulatively travelled over 1.10 billion miles, saving about 18,500 metric tons of CO2, demonstrating MLMML's major contribution to India's sustainability goals and creating micro-entrepreneurial opportunities for citizens.
The Treo Plus has excellent features, including a 10.24 kWh battery, 8 kW power, 42 Nm torque, and an incredible driving range of more than 150 kilometers on a single charge. MLMML guarantees a smooth and comfortable driving experience with features like Hill Hold Assist and a large service network across India, backed up by strong after-sales support.
To demonstrate its dedication to customer well-being, MLMML's UDAY program provides INR 10 lakh accident insurance coverage for the first year to drivers who purchase the new Treo variant. This project demonstrates Mahindra's commitment to the safety and prosperity of its clients.
