In a strategic move that underscores its commitment to expanding its global footprint, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., one of India's largest and most diversified conglomerates, has unveiled ambitious plans to bolster its international presence across various sectors. The company's renewed global ambition aims to capitalize on emerging opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships, and diversify its portfolio to become a truly global player.
During a recent trip to North America, Rajesh Jejurikar, ED and CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra's Auto and Farm Division, was questioned by an immigration officer about the reason for his visit. M&M has been present in the US market for about three decades. As a result, it has long been a part of the local socioeconomic fabric. In fact, M&M is one of the primary sponsors of a racing team at the popular NASCAR rally in the United States, as well as the Rodeo competition, in order to engage with its local audience and increase visibility.
According to Jejurikar, such events and marketing activities have given the brand a worldwide tone and helped it make an impression on the minds of many lifestyle tractor purchasers. Mahindra is the most important Indian B2C brand in North America, with a revenue of $500-700 million.
Today, North America is a crucial beachhead for Mahindra & Mahindra's new globalisation strategy, which was unveiled by the group's MD, Anish Shah. In the future decades, the group hopes to reproduce their presentation in the United States and other areas such as the United Kingdom, ASEAN, Brazil, and Africa.

The new plan aims to grow the global tractor business 1.6 times and the global auto business 2.5 times by FY26, despite a low foundation. This indicates that overseas farm equipment revenues might range from US$ 1.5 billion to US$ 2 billion, while automobile revenues could range from US$ 150 to US$ 200 million, with the latter exceeding one lakh units in volume.
Recapping the recent great performance, Shah stated during the FY23 earnings conference that all of its companies produced more than expected and were well ahead of plan.
Shah has implemented a "Strategy Refresh" for three years — FY24 to FY26 — with its core business altered and growth gems or developing businesses put on track for higher growth. This strategy is built on delivering scalability through market leadership, resilience in volatile business settings, and value.
